Hyundai Newcastle For The Best New Cars Available

Tuesday, January 12th, 2010

There has never been a better moment in time to acquire a brand new car with the Government scrappage scheme giving up to 2000 pounds off the value of a brand new car. To obtain your concession though you will have to rush as the scheme is due to close at the close of February 2010 or as soon as the prearranged funding for the scheme runs out. So if you intend to take your £2000 reduction it is essential that you act rapidly and get down to your regional participating car dealership such as Lexus Leeds or Fiat Newcastle.

The brand new car marketplace in the UK has been having a trying time in the last few couple of the years and has felt the effects of the credit crunch more harshly than just about any other industry. With rising rates of unemployment and a substantial reduction in consumer confidence spending on new cars declined swiftly. Fortunately the government scheme has helped to boost the car industry and helped to secure most jobs in factories and car dealerships around the land. A fresh increase to the scheme means that cars and vans that are just 8 years old at this point qualify for the 2000 pounds bonus where beforehand they had to be at least 10 years old.

If you are in the north east of England there are a broad range of motor dealerships that you can go to, to collect your reduction on a new car or van. In Newcastle there is Benfield Alfa Romeo, Honda Newcastle and Hyundai Newcastle. All of these car dealerships boast a super range of brand new cars that you can trade in your old car for.

So far more than 200, 000 cars have been sold under the scrappage scheme since it began and the car industry would love to witness and extension of the scheme until late 2010. However the government is not likely to prolong the scheme outside its concluding date of February. Talks are underway among representatives of the car industry and the government with the car industry claiming that the scheme will not cost the taxpayer any cash as the plan is self funded due to the cash made by the government on VAT when a new car is sold.

Car dealerships such as Toyota Leeds, Hyundai Leeds and Honda Teesside would certainly love to set eyes on an enlargement of the scheme and are no doubt keeping their fingers crossed that the government has a transformation of mind and decides that it will lengthen the scheme for an additional year. Extending the scheme would further safeguard thousands of UK jobs and remove more old and potentially hazardous cars from our roads.

So far the scheme has contributed to a 13.5% increase in car manufacturing and there are environmental benefits as well. Data shows that the brand new cars on the road emit on average 25% less CO2 then the cars that have been scrapped and of course new cars have a propensity to be much safer than older models of cars. So with any luck Ford Harrogate and Ford Wetherby can have a cheerful new year and obtain an increase of this impressive scheme.

Hybrid Cars

Wednesday, November 4th, 2009

A regular automobile uses a combustion engine with a fuel-air mix powering it. A hybrid vehicle on the other hand powers itself not only using the traditional means but it also uses a spread of alternate means like fuel-cells and solar-energy to turn the wheels. That makes it more environmental friendly and increases its mileage. Some folk think that hybrid vehicles are the automobiles of the future. They assert it is what we’ll be driving in a 10 years’ time. It’s right that hybrid vehicles have many benefits. But we must not forget the lacks of the hybrid vehicle. Gas and oil are non replaceable power sources.

They also cause much damage to the environment. There’s a danger they’d shortly also be used from the earth. On the other hand, hybrid autos are environment friendly. The source of energy they use is replenish-able and so they pose much less threat to the globe. Hybrid vehicles are efficient and economize on fueling. At the stage they now are, they are quite likely to break down after traveling every couple of miles. If you purchase a hybrid vehicle, leave for office an hour earlier than you used to before, because hybrid vehicles are much slower than ordinary vehicles. Because they have terribly less energy to run with, they’re made with as light bodies as possible. We would like to protect the environment to guard our children. But if you are intending to buy them a hybrid vehicle to do so, the probabilities of them being flattened by some bigger vehicle are much more.

So if you need to keep your youngsters safe, why not buy them a Land Rover instead? And then there’s the problem of power again. With the quantity of power a half-breed can offer, imagine the difficulty and time it might take for you to reach a high altitude point with a reasonably steep road, that is, if you would ever manage to get up there on that automobile. Whether hybrid vehicles will be the way forward for the vehicle industry, one can’t say for sure. But one thing is absolutely certain, where it stands today is sort of for from a point where it’ll replace the gas or gas powered automobiles.
